Hey everyone. I just recently moved from Chicago to Rochester MN and was wondering if there are any steelers in the area? I'd like to get in touch with some, see what is out there in the town, maybe find someone who gives lessons, or just someone who wants to jam a bit. Nothing like feeling like a fish out of water in a new town, and not having the opportunity to do what you love(make great music) cause you don't know anyone.
If you're out there let me know. _________________ http://soundcloud.com/tower-4

Hey Justin:
Dean Peterson lives in Rochester, MN and is a steel player. I met Dean nearly 40 yrs. ago when I was working a road circuit (one of those back then when you were gone from home for 6 mos. & played 6 or 7 nights a week)and we played in town there at "The Hollywood" on Broadway. We played there several times a year, usually for 3 week stints. Dean would come out to see us and we became good friends... been friends ever since. Dean's a good guy and a good player. I can't give out his phone # without his permission of course but you may find him in the local directory. I spoke to him very recently and I know he's working on a new band project. Hope you make contact and good luck.
Sincerely,
Chris "Tiny" O. |

Justin - There will be a bunch of bands playing this Sunday, Sept. 8th at The Wicked Moose located at 1201 Eastgate Drive S.E. Rochester.
It is a benefit for long-time area musician Larry Petit, who recently passed away from cancer. Seven bands, raffles, silent and live auctions. 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Stop on out if you can. I'll be playing some steel and guitar with Willow Lane around 4.
