I'm not sure if this is the correct place
I have a George L on my guitar and was thinking about installing a Wallace True Tone
I would appreciate your thoughts and opinions
Thanks,Paul

Seriously. Love his pickups. I have one with a coil tap in my GFI. Wonderful tone.

To my ears, the tone will be clearer, tighter, brighter, and more articulate. Not as mid heavy either, I would think.

All single coils will be more responsive than humbuckers, as if the second coil provides a touch of compression
You didn't say WHICH George L you have, and he has a few. The only one I have experience withis the E-66. They have similar tone, but more personality and soul comes through with the TrueTone. My next guitar will have a tapped TrueTone

I Have a Carter with a George L, and like you I am considering fitting a single coil pick up. The reason for this is that I find that the top strings sound really thin, and I am hoping this will provide a more even tone and therefore make the top strings sound fuller. Are you having this problem?

Nick
I'm not totally sure what it is, when i first got the guitar i liked the sound going from a Pro one Sho-Bud to the Carter then a few years later i bought a GFI Ultra with GFI II pickups on it and i seem to like the GFI better, I think that i will install a Wallace True Tone on the carter, maybe i,ll never be happy and always searching for that sound, does this sound familiar
