When you get down (or up) to Nashville, be sure to check out my buddy Eddie Lange. He's all over the place these days. Broadway, the Opry, Midnight Jamboree, you name it! And just smok'in. He's always with great players and singers.

I went with Jerry Fessenden a couple of weeks ago in Nashville and saw Eddie play. Man, he sounded really fine and had that Fessy singing. Catch him if you get a chance!

I've known Eddie and his family since he was 16 years old. I had him play his first steel guitar show in Minnesota at that age, and he had been only playing for about 6 months. He really showed his stuff even then.

I spent last night at a anniversary party where his Dad Kevin played and his Mom Kathy was there as well. It was a great night with Larry Rose on steel and lead guitar, Dan Lund on lead guitar, Del Gallagher on drums, Bev Rose on rhythm guitar and vocals. Kevin played the bass.

Eddie's brother Harry is a great drummer, and is equally busy in Nashville playing many gigs. Eddie played for Bill Anderson for a few years, and did some work with Josh Turner. A fine young man, and a great musician.

Do catch him when you can, and the future of the steel guitar is in good if not great hands.

Good Luck Eddie, hope to see you when you get back to Minnesota.

Dennis

After seeing Eddie several times , I have to agree that he plays what most of us always wanted to play when we started . He's been one of the most in demand players in Nash for recent yrs ,,, we first stumbled upon him on lower Broadway, then in St Louis. Now we get to hear him on the Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree often with Leona & Ron Williams , as well as others. The Opry last Friday w/ Bill Anderson , etc. Look up the archives . JF

Say...does Clinton have a new look or have I been gone for a while ... I remember when Redd Volkhart played in the band.

I remember when Clinton was straight and was way up on the star ladder. Anyway that doesn't diminish Eddie's great talent. What a player.
