I'm just going to say it: Richie is the greatest of all the "Country Rock" singers.

Its funny.. Just today as I was listening to Fallin' in Love by Souther Hillman and Furay, I was thinking that exact same thought... I won't say THE best, but there are NONE better.... bob

Thanks John!

What a killer group of players, I know this will be a great recording as the last few you have done have been.

Great to see Dan Dugmore on steel, along with Paul.

Hopefully Richie will be touring soon to back up this recording.

Did any of his regular band play on any of the tracks, especially Scott Sellin?

Thanks!...Paul played on a tune for a duet that Richie did with Jeff Hanna that is going on a Dan Fogelberg tribute record coming out later this year...Scott is not on this record...

Kevin-check out his Heartbeat of Love record from a few years back...same band and a lot of guest singers including Neil Young, Steve Stills, Kenny Loggins and Timothy Schmidt...Al Perkins plays a nice Tele solo on a song, too.

It was great to have George stop by. He is still struggling since his stroke, so it was great to have him come by and sing...

For those that don't know, Richie Furay is the founder and pastor of Calvary Chapel, in Broomfield Colorado.

For an interesting and inspiring read check out his autobiography, Pickin' Up the Pieces: The Heart and Soul of Country Rock Pioneer Richie Furay

Keep on pickin'

Richie and Jeff did "Run For The Roses" for the tribute record...Richie also cut "Don't Lose Heart" for this current record...

That's really cool.

Dan had some real good steel by Weldon Myrick on his earlier stuff especially 'Home free' which I really liked.

It's great that they are doing this tribute, sadly you don't hear much us his stuff these days since his passing.

Thanks, John
