Not to display my ignorance too badly but why is it a 22.5" scale instead of a 26"? I thought each model from the single dlx 8 to the triple or quad had increasing scale lengths.

Doubles, triples and quads were made with a 26" scale only for the first couple of years, '53-'54. After that they were either 24 1/2" or 22". I've never seen a single neck (Deluxe) with anything but a 22" scale.

You can read the scale length by noting the number of dots after the 24th fret... 22.5 has 2, 24.5 has 3, and 26 has 4.

The older models before Stringmaster were 22.5 IIRC... Stringmasters started out only 26" for the first year or so...after that, the new model was only available in 22.5 and 24.5". Number of necks did not matter... although the Deluxe 8 was only a 22.5 IIRC.

I change my mind, Its not for sell anymore, I don't need the money so much and I realize that I can't sell it, I will probably need the 3rd neck when I will be better.
