Hi Joe: Nice site. I'm glad this isn't 25 years ago. As I just posted on another thread, I used to pound the pavement every night in Toronto going through 2nd hand stores and mainly used record shopped. I ammassed thousands of vinyl before my present wife came along and broke my obsessive compulsive habit.

Her favourite excpression was always, "You can have it all George, you have no place to put it".

I tried hard.

Geo

Must be an interesting thing, this record avec Monsieur Mauriat. Steel with an orchestra!

Hey CrowBear,

I'm aware of Marcel Bianchi, but had never seen that particular album. Pretty cool! There is a Hougassian LP shown. France has a long history of excellent steelers going back to the Hawaiian era.

Hey CrowBear! Is Lionel Wendling still playing? He was pretty good too!

Also, I have to thank Joe for those album cover photos. Looking at them closely, I do believe I've played with that Hougassian fella a time or two, and also with Buckie Shirakata! Embarassed Mr. Green
