Gordon, you might have started an avalanche here.
Little Cherokee sure is a cutie! So deep in concentration, it looks as if she is really studying hard. Great pic!

Having my grand daughters over in the morning and I'll see if I can get y'all some updated pics of them on the steel. I love this..

Couldn't resist posting my own addition.
Jorge is 8 1/2 months old, and loves the sounds of steel.

Thanks for posting that picture Cal, (with young Buddy), as I've learned more about great steel players, I am consistently amazed by the ages at which these players got started.

Mickey Mantle's Dad, Mutt (sic), gave him baseballs to play with when he was still in a crib.

Great thread. Here's my granddaughter Joslin. She was giving a lesson (she listens to me give Skype lessons) and of course didn't like the bar because "it was not her style".

I have a video of her putting on a show playing papa's steel. Priceless. Will have to find it.

She has her own set of picks...

When left on her own this is the result...

later...joe

Some great pics there Joe.
Here is my grandson Nikolas:

And his little brother Kyran:

Kyran hasn't quite made up his mind yet, whether he likes the steel the best or the milling machine.

Nicholas, Now that's just too cute Smile Look at Madison working on her VP technique. Keep at her man; one of these days....
A funny anecdote from my Chloe(see pics). She was holding my hand the other day and I said my what big hands and fingers you have...those are piano fingers! To which she replied: Grandpa, they are steel guitar fingers!
I thought ahhh this is heaven on earth Smile
