Kenny's terrific! I played with him one one in SA (I was on guitar) when I was in town playing a 'Patsy' show a few years ago.

Kenny's Emmons is perhaps the ugliest steel I ever saw - a dirty pea-green push/pull. I recall that he plays 'Day' set up. He's an off-the-wall player - lots of energy and an unusual approach.

San Antonio isn't short of fine steel-players - while I was in town for ten days I was the worst player there!!! Whoa!

My pal Kenny is a great guy and great steel player! I talked to him just a few days ago on the phone. And yep - that green push-pull ain't gonna win no beauty contests, but it sounds great under Kenny's hands. Smile JC

I'm jealous. I've never had the honor or pleasure of hearing him play. His son married my niece, Jackie, so I guess we're somehow related. Played at their wedding, I understand. A hall full of some of the best, put on a real show. Sorry I missed it. I've heard he is awesome.

Kenny has been playing with the Rocky King Band for most of 2012, and their song selection of dancehall/Western Swing gives him ample opportunity to showcase his steel! http://www.rockykingband.com/dates_2.html

Kenny played with Jason Allen in the West of France this year and 2 years ago.
Really a nice man and a really good player.
