A lovely song written by Richard Thompson and recorded by everyone who can sing including -- EmmyLou, Alison Krause, Bonnie Raitt, David Gilmore and Mary Black.
Recorded on my Lap Steel & Dobro, as always go for the Big Picture.

James, that is beautiful. It is one of my favorite songs. I prefer Linda Thompson's versions although other folks have covered it admirably. Linda Thompson said that she once met the Everly Brothers. When they heard who she was, they broke out in a duet of the song for her.

Richard & Linda Thompson added a lot to the Music scene and are well respected worldwide, I will certainly return to their music in the future.
Thank you for you kind words Karlis and for taking the time to comment.

Hi James, I was finally able to watch that. I gotta
say it is beautiful, and you play both instruments
very well. A very nice tone on both of them. This is
playing you can listen to many times and enjoy it.
