Carter Starter S-10, S/N 51019 with birds eye mica. Emmons copedant and comes with a beginners book, DVD and CD, electrical instrument cables, Carter foot pedal, allen wrenches, hex sockets, gig bag, pedal bar bag.
I ground off the thick epoxy black paint from the aluminum end plates and polished them and all aluminum parts to a high luster. It was explained to me that with epoxy painted end plates the pedal steel's higher frequency tone range would be diminished.
You more knowledgeable steel players on the Forum already know what I'm talking about as opposed to most buyers on Ebay. I'm looking for that Forum beginner wanting an up-graded looking, and clear sounding Carter Starter steel for one-third the cost of much more expensive steel guitars. I'm asking $700.00 + $50.00 for shipping and insurance. Cash or cashiers check only no trades or deals, and lets keep it in the good old USA. TKS..

Thanks Daniel it's not like night or day but when I played it after the change it did sound brighter. With all the work that went into doing this job, Carter would of had to up the bucks a lot more to polish every Carter Starter.
