Hello fellow steelers! Just a quick note to announce the date of our April show. For our special guest this month, we will be honored to have Wally Moyers and his wife. They are from Lubbock, Texas. Wally is a wonderful steel guitarist and his wife is a fine singer. I've been trying to connect with him for about a year, but this will be worth the wait. We will once again start around 1:30 pm and probably be at the Merkel middle school auditorium again. So all you steelers get ready and prepare some tunes and be ready to pick and show your stuff. Tell everyone you know and come hear an afternoon of some nice steelin' and some fine country music. More info to come!

Just talked to Danny Letz, and he has several items for sale. I believe some pedal type boxes and even a steel. This is gonna be a good show. If you have something to sell....feel free to bring it to the jam. If you're looking to pick up some steel gear...then you just might find it there! Come on down to Merkel on April the 29th, 1:30pm. Don't miss it! Bring Your Axe.

Yep Larry. I hate having to ship stuff so I have a few items I'm gonna give the locals a shot at before I go to the trouble. I have a like new Stageone licensed by Zumsteel. It's one of the better student guitars and I'll have a good price in it. I have people wanting it if I decide to ship so this is the last chance at it before I let it go. Also I have Boss FRV 1 reverb pedal and a DigiTech Hardwired RV 7 stereo reverb pedal. Also a clamp on pad for a single neck pedal steel. All these items are like new. Heck I might think of something else I need to move before then.
But more imprtant than that, everyone come out and play or just enjoy an afternoon of good family entertainment.

Unless something comes up between now and then I will be there.

Danny, talk to me about that student model. I need a second guitar to keep in my deer lease camper.

Clinton, it's a Stage One Licensed by Zumsteel. Just go to their website. I think they're all pretty much alike except for the color. This ones red, the women will love it. It's in near new condition. Email me or come to the meeting for a price.

Gerry,
I had asked Steve Stewart and Ron Stafford from DFW to come, but since Wally Moyers and his wife are coming they are coming in another jam. They are all good pickers. But, we will have a great jam and a Share A Lick session. If there is a lick you want to learn....email me the song, or just the lick and we will teach it no problem. Later

Thanks, Larry. I know Wally, and saw him at the Dallas show last month. Hope he can make it this time. The "share a lick" thing sounds good.

Just visited with Brian Hall from Hamlin, Tx and he is coming to the steel jam. He is also a fellow steel player that is looking for a new steel. We're excited to have some new members. Ya'll come and enjoy a nice afternoon of steelin' & country music. We will have Ricky Pack on lead, Billy Tibbs on bass, and Rabbit Pack on drums. A great backup band!

Reckon Billy Tibbs will be able to find a different funny hat. Inquiring minds want to know. Maybe the new guy would want a Stage One to learn on??? For the answers to all these questions and more, be there!

Hey, Larry. I guess I'll go head to head with Danny on selling a Zum right now. I have a Zum SD12 tuned Ext. E9 that I will be selling. Maybe Brian Hall might be interested in that one. Will see you Sunday.

Well liked to lost it all on Thursday last. I was in the Doctor's office to get some prescriptions filled when my left side just quit working. Dr. and staff went to work but to no avail. My old Indian Grandmother always told me when all else fails give Jesus a chance so out came " Our father who art in heaven-----" and 20 minutes later I was walking and all facilities had returned. Had to go to ICU for tests and all checked OK. It would be an exercise in frustration if one were to tell me IT DON'T WORK!!! Sure it does and you can believe it or not.

Dovie and I will be there the good Lord willing and we may bring a couple of things to drop off. Not much left here in the way of music. We'll film the whole show if everyone agrees.

Phred and Dovie.

Bobby Rountree and I are planning on coming from San Angelo. I haven't been able to make it to the last several meetings, so I'm really looking forward to it. I hope to see all my old buddies there.
