Excellent condition West Coast 8-string steel guitar with George L's 10-1 pickup and wooden inlay (no fret wire) fret board. Great sound and playability. I do not have a case for this. Currently in A6 tuning. $400 OBO plus shipping (CONUS). No trades please.

I nave a question concering this fine looking insterment. "WHY IS IT STILL UP HERE" It is an 8 string, that gives you expanded vercitility. So I ask " Why is it still up here" It can't be the looks, and it can't be the price. It must be that the Economy has something to do with it. Considering the price alone it's a steel, for a Steel.

Jeff, if I didn't already have a Melbert 8 string Lap Steel that insterment would be heading east.

I am not in the market for another steel, but my 6-string resonator is a West Coast (Bob Littleton's first, I think, and he set it up lefty for me). I've had the pleasure of playing with Bob when he lived in the Bay Area - he is a great steel player, a great guy, and a great craftsman. I would buy this guitar if I needed one. Just a plug.

I have the same lap steel and I love it! It's very well made... hard maple body, strings through body, brass nut, bridge, and string retainer, GeorgeL 10-1 pickup. This is a great buy IMO.

Thanks Wayne, John, & Doug. It's been my traveling companion for the last few years; with a gig bag, it fits into the overhead of any commercial plane. I got addicted to 10-string tunings and I don't travel very much anymore. I have the Remington 10-8 for sale as well (another fine guitar!).

Jeff, I just had to come back and take another look at that 8 string. I thought for a while it might be gone, That would have been Good. But Low her she is, Still waiting for her date to pick her up taker her out do a little dancing and take her home and I don't know why. But this should get her to the top again, maybe some nice gent will notice how attractive she is how much she has to offer and how inexpensive a date she is.

You Know when you go to a restraunt you look over the menue and see What is new, What is the Best item for the dollar. Then to your supprise Here it is Your favorite dish on Special. well I think that is what you have posted here Jeff. A Great Looking 8 string Lap Steel, at the top of the Menue and WALA it is on Special. $400.00 OBO + shipping. Good Grief OBO What is that all about. That is like asking for a discount on the Saterday Night Special, which is Prime Ribb with Mashed potatos, and a vegi + free refills on your drinks. Or here in Wisconsin asking for a Discount on the Friday Night Fish Fry which is alreaty on Special with free refills on your drink. Go Figure.

Wayne

Doug, I know you had a Sierra S8. How does this guitar compare to the Sierra in sound?

The sound is similar to the Sierra IMO. A very full tone, but much less weight!
