On my Carter SD10 Can someone explain what the little screws are on top of the tuning neck keys.Is it to take the slack to make the keys tighter.Ive been playing nearly 2 years but not knowing their exact purpose. It might seem obvious to most but im not to hot on tech stuff. Question Oh Well

I'm not sure what a "tuning neck key" is.

Hi Declan, if you're referring to these screws, their main purpose is to attach the knob/button to the shaft. In most cases, they are tightened just snug. Too tight, the shaft will bind. If they are too loose, you will feel the button moving on the connection.

On these Grover minis, I find I need to check the screws from time to time. They will eventually vibrate slightly loose sometimes with loading, transporting etc. I've never had one get loose enough to fall off though.

This may be the tuners He's asking about, for tuning splits.
