This looks like an interesting tone-shaping box. Anyone used it with their pedal steel?

Robert Randolph uses an older version of it for his "country tone." His default tone is very non-country pedal steel, so it probably needs a lot of EQ to get it closer to the "country sound" with the mid scoop and brightness.

He talks about the Para-EQ at about 6:00

Looks like a great pedal if you have very specific tone shaping requirements, but could be overkill if you don't need such precise/flexible eqing.

I really like the fact that you can adjust the "Q". I have never tried one but I would like to.

I would love very simple fully parametric single channel pedal. I think its a really great tool to balance out what an ampl's tone stack can already do. Kind of an "allways on" type of pedal for basic tone and not an "effect." Can't get that one wierd midrange out of your amp no matter what you do with the built in knobs? Take it out with the para. Want just a hair more lows that extends into the low mids too? You can do it.

But 3 extra para channels? I can't possible imagine putting them all to good use with what a well designed amp tone stack can't handle...

Unless you specifically want to radically shift your tone in big ways... Like from high and twangy to low and growley... Mmmmm....
