Recent threads have convinced me of the need for a course like this- more than 2 1/2 hours of intense instruction on 2 CDs- Music Theory and the Number System for E9 Pedal Steel Guitar.
Starting from the basics of music theory we quickly move through scale and chord construction, vertical and horizontal scales, chord families, extensions and substitutions, concept of "key" and the harmonized scale in full chords, 3rds and 6ths, and numerous licks, positions, and ideas using all our new knowledge.
No music reading- completely explained as you're sitting at your guitar. Moves quickly from beginner to fairly advanced- great for players of all levels.
This is the stuff for anyone who wants to understand why and how the E9 tuning works, and how to get MUCH more out of every other course you have- this is the stuff the Pros all know and use.
PERFECT HOLIDAY GIFT FOR THE STEEL PLAYER! $30 shipped.

I am not much on the talking cd to learn, but I must admit I am learning about how chords are constructed.one of the good things is that I am not running off and trying things on the steel without listening fully to what is being taught.
Just my opinion .well done
Thanks. Darrell |
