Have a BMI 10 string with 3 knee bars and 3 pedals
don't know much about it or when it started life (cant find a number or know where to look). In really good shape, case also.
Maybe late 60's early 70's. Did have an estimate of 1,200 to 1,500. Would love to know more about it and or offers!!

my guess (which is NOT expert) is its worth between 800 and 1000, because these things have so many mechanical things going on, it helps if a experienced player is selling it, b/c peoplecant play it in person-this may make it harder to sell. Also, it helps to show a clear picture of the bottom and changer. Thats my 2 cents. |

IMO<<<Most underated guitar on the market, the Machanics are super smooth and all I have ever played sounds great. Zane Beck was a very fine builder. |

What's the asking price? I see lots of numbers thrown out there. Is it playable like it sits? |

These are wonderful guitars and I 2nd the opinion that they are one of the most under-rated guitars on the planet. They play in tune, are relatively light, well built and all sound great! |

Had one of these. My first guitar and they are very well built. Don't know why the bell cranks weren't just turned around on the shaft. I changed mine by drilling new holes in bell crank to turn around and then had to re rod it too. Made it play a lot more positive and took the mushy out of the pedals. As they are know, you are also pulling down on the rods when pushing pedals.
Jim, just want to second your words on these being under rated. These are not beginner steels even though they are good for beginners because they are lower priced than most pro guitars. My friend, the late Jack Matthews played one for years and he always sounded great. I played mine for about four years and then went to a D 10 Sho Bud. BMIs are great guitars. _________________ Henry Matthews
