Love the black/white binding on the body and fingerboard. That's a keeper. _________________ ...but you are the music / while the music lasts (TS Eliot) |

I've never heard one of those. Hopefully the beauty isn't just skin-deep, because it really is a beauty ! |

Bill,
If you like the sound of the Valco string-through pickup, you'll like the sound of these. I'm petty sure these were made by Kay. They are 25" scale instruments. They sound great to my ear and are not just another pretty face. |

I just sold mine, a 1951, not as clean as this one but totally original and still very nice, to an SGF member also in Australia for $425. It was the first one I ever had, bought it out of curiosity. I didn't care for the sound and knob/pickup layout quite as much as I do my Magnatone G-65 and G-70s (also one of the few vintage 6-string lap steels with a long scale), but the Tonemaster is a very substantial and really fine guitar. |

I HAVE ONE LIKE THIS AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE SOUND IS VERY GOOD. BUT THE INNER TREBLE KNOB IS INTERFERING WITH MY RIGHT HAND. I LIKE THE KNOBS ON THE OUTER SIDE OF THE BODY. STILL LIKE MY BAKELITE RICK THE BEST. |
