Loren Depping came over and we had a 5 hour lesson. He is wanting to learn more on the C neck so we picked 6 songs his band does and began working on them. He did great, it all made perfect sense to him and he went away with a big smile, it was also his birthday.

We had gone over some of the positions and pockets and grips and pedals in the past but his "bucket" was not able to take it all in "at that time". With another year of playing under his belt it was all beginning to come together.

Learning is a timing thing, you have to build up your data base one idea or concept etc at a time, you can not skip steps in the big picture otherwise you might step in a pot hole and not know how your got there or how to get out. It is just a universal thing, one small step for......

I just love to see the light go on and the big smiles on the faces of the students, it makes it all worth it to me.
