From b0b's copedents page I have learned about the "G# to E" change that Mr. Franklin uses on his vertical lever.
I modified that pull too on one of my guitars, in order to discover something new, but actually I'm having a hard time to fugure out how I may use that change.

May someone of you please give me a hint? Smile

I seem to recall seeing here on the Forum that Paul has both changes rodded on the same lever and adjusts one or the other to be active at any given time.

Paul had the G# to E lower on a vertical on one of his guitars. You can hear the change in the George Strait cut "My lifes been grand". Listen for it at about the mid to end of the 2nd measure of the ride.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-QQk6WC2p4

He used it on Alan Jackson's Meat and Potatoe Man.

That's one of those licks that make you say, "What? That's not possible! He double tracked that!" Nope.

The G# to B is a cool sound on the 6th string. Russ Hicks has one on the 0 pedal.

I change string 6 G# to B and string 7 F# to G# with my 5th pedal. My 4th. pedal change is 5th. string B to C#. Pedal 4 and 5 give me a full 6th. also string 9 open C#. Also my 4th, pedal changes my 6th. string G# to A. Joe

I had that on my SD10 it's great, but you can't use it over,it's a lick lever. have changed it for the G# to B change ,still trying to use it more but I think there more uses for it than the two tone drop.
