I didn't want to sell this, but unexpected car repair bills need to be paid.
This is the 3rd neck from a '51 Fender T-8. It's just like the day ir was sawed off-no sanding or finishing has been done. The body was refinished before the chop job, so there's no Fender decal. When I got it, the pickup was dead, and it's now at my repair guy's shop to be rebuilt. He's rebuilt 2 of the trapazoid pickups for me, and they sound great. The tuners have 2 holes drilled in the bottom of the pan from some old pedal addition, and 2 of the tuners are really stiff. I'm going to get them looked at, but they do need some work. The fingerboard is in excellent condition, as is the pickup mounting plate. My plan was to add a small piece of wood next to the pickup, and mount a jack and volume control. I also have a nice old wooden box that will make a great case for it with the addition of some interior padding. Asking $300 plus actual shipping charges. Thanks for looking.

That is not a Stringmaster Neck or Hardware! Could be either 2nd. neck from a Dual Pro or 3rd. neck from a Fender T-8 Custom! _________________ <marquee> Go~Daddy~Go, (No), Go, It's your Break Time</marquee> L8R, jb

John-
It says in my original post; "This is the 3rd neck from a '51 Fender T-8.". Maybe I should have said "T-8 Custom", but my ad says nothing about a Stringmaster. I don't know where you got the idea that I said anything about a Stringmaster. I have the rest of the guitar, and I can say with certainty that this was the outside (3rd) neck. The volume and tone pots on the main part of the guitar date it to 1951. _________________ "it's not in bad taste, if it's funny." - john waters |

John; Sorry for the misunderstanding, but; I wasn't implying that you were uncertain! Some people are not familiar with the different Fender steel guitar models and I thought it might help to clarify that it was a Custom model and not a Stringmaster! Sorry again for butting in where I'm not needed! _________________ <marquee> Go~Daddy~Go, (No), Go, It's your Break Time</marquee> L8R, jb

I might be interested in a trade for a smaller tube amp, like a Fender Blues Jr.
Did I mention that the pickup has been freshly rebuilt? _________________ "it's not in bad taste, if it's funny." - john waters |

Hey John, I'm worried about those eye glasses under the case! If I see someone from your house with crooked frames I'm going to die laughing. Looks like a cheap way to get into the sound and a cool project! Good luck, sir. |

Yes, the trapezoid pickups have the bridge built in to the pickup. _________________ "it's not in bad taste, if it's funny." - john waters |

Gibson- It's that "trick photography". When you see me, remeber-the glasses are straight, the face is crooked... _________________ "it's not in bad taste, if it's funny." - john waters |
