I have a 1985 Super Pro for sale I have had it since 85 and it has a LOT of play time on it it used to be black but a good friend of mine here in ohio refinished it for me because there was a lot of laquer cracks and the sort plus a couple of dings in the body now this guitar is not perfect it was going to be my fixer upper project but due to some med bills I need the money so I have to let her go so I am selling as a fixer upper it can be played now it plays fair but needs some work, as my friend was tearing it down the E9 finger axle is groved so it was sanded down lightly and put on the C6th plus some other fingers need replaced so a good rebuild is in order that is what I was going to do by sending it to B Seymore or someone on here that is good at this sort of thing like I said she has a ton of playing hours on her from 85 to about 2000 6-8 hours on weekends and many practice hours through thew week if in mint cond I would ask $2900.00 but due to the work needed I am askin $1900.00 for it like I said it is playable but needs work and the case also shows this ware as well. It came from the factory 8/6 now it is 8/5 due to one of the pot metal levers that broke I really dont want to part but life says otherwise

Smile I didn't know Super Pro's had Aluminum necks. Very nice looking wood on this guitar. This guitar reminds me of the Pro III Custom guitars from the 70's. Should go pretty fast IMHO.

Yeah when I ordered it in 85 there was an option for alum or wood necks and it was black originaly but the finish was cracking and I did see acouple of nat finish Super Pros once and loved the look so I had it refinished like you see it, it looks better live. the guy that did the refinish is fantastic at this kinda stuff pro all the way I have a tele that I am thinking about redoing and I havnt ask him yet but I am going to once the funds build back up and I get the time to have it down for a few weeks as I play it often to.

Maybe I am kinda talking this down a bit I just want to be up front with people so no one thinks they got took I am a very honest person, So this guitar is playable right out of the case I played it the other day and it plays fine it needs some good adjusting and I am thinking some finger replaced that is all I can think of it holds tune pretty good its just a couple of pedals are stiff and if you tune it reall good it plays fine for most of the night but I feel there might be an issue with a few fingers as far as returning to pitch so I hope this explains it better it is not a old clunker about to go down for the count it still has manya good years left in her. any questions let me know

Very Happy Jerry,
Relax a bit, this guitar will sell soon. The wood and parts are worth what you are asking, Just my humble opinion. Cool

A bump for my old pal Jerry....bro, if I had the cash I would give this beautiful lady a loving home. Is this the same guitar you had when I played with y'all way back in 85 ?
