Hi. My Carter SD10 has a George L's SS10. It's really powerful, but I hear that cranks a little my Peavey Special 130, also on low input. What do you think about this pickup? Should be a good idea to change it with another one? What sould be a nice substitute? I have an SS on my Carter. Try lowering the pickups two quarters from string, maybe a bit more. It cleans them up nice. That was the standard pickup installed on Carters and I like them better than 66 or 10-1.They are all dead quiet as you would expect. |

I lowered a little the pickup, and it's better. it was reaaly near the strings, less than 1 quarter. Now is about 2 quarters... nice improuvement.. thanks _________________ Carter D10 8+5, Carter SD10 4+5, Hilton ME202, Goodrich L120, Peterson StroboPlus HD, Digitech DigiDelay, Peavey Nashville 112 Ken Fox Modded, Peavey Special 130 Ken Fox Modded, Zookies and Dunlop Picks, Ernie Ball Bar, George L'S Cables, Jagwire Strings... and my crappy hands, foot and knees |

I really like the SS-10 pickups. I tried many different pickups and I settled for the SS-10's on my GFI. If you're getting a bit too much out of the pickup try the 10-1. It's the same pickup only the SS-10 is made with stainless steel blades, thus the SS. The 10-1 has great tone and range but smoother than the SS-10.
