I was going to say that, but I didn't know if Justin had a sister or daughter named Justine.

Still, that's 3 of my faves right there.

Throw in Johnny Bush and you have the best. There must be something in the water down there. When they get that walking bass going, you just can't keep your feet still. Larry

I got to see Dicky Overbey play with Justin and Mona McCall this weekend at the Rockport/Fulton Oysterfest, they were great! Dicky sounded really good with his Emmons into one pedal of some sort into a Peavey LTD. They had the folks out on the floor steppin!

Randy, great news about the new CD. Does Dicky still use your Sho~Bud on some gigs? That's one sweet sounding 'Bud.

We are so lucky to have them giving their all to try to keep traditional country alive.

Jake Hooker is another one to keep your eye on. He is both writing and performing some great material as well as knocking everyone out with that upright bass.

We also need to thank Justin Trevino and Jim Loessberg for producing these fine projects as well as our "Texas A team" for playing on them

We almost have Bush's next project done. A couple more songs and it will be ready. It is going to be a great project, as usual.

Satellite radio has been a godsend to all of us. I really see it becoming the future of radio.

Randy, that 'bud gives me goosebumps. Although Dicky's tone is great with his Emmons, that 'bud just sings when he plays it. I know I have complimented you before, but your guitar playing also gives me the bumps (or is it the MUMPS? ). Amber is the best thing going in any type of country music these days. She is so genuine. The rest of the Texas gang, like Sunny, Justin, Miss Leslie, and many others are our only hope (and I actually like some of the modern country). I wish I could move just to be able to see these great entertainers live. Randy, that's a hint to get Amber out here to the bay area.

So right Justin. I have seen the country music scene morph so much over the last 45 years or so. I play in a couple of bands here in the San Jose/San Francisco area that tries to keep good old country alive, but it's almost impossible. The only place I see that keeps it real on a grand scale is Texas (although I hear it's getting tough in Texas too). All I know is, when I die and get reincarnated, I want to come back as a Texan. Very Happy Very Happy Laughing

I saw Dicky in the grocery store last week in Bandera, and told him how he inspires me to pursue my new interest - "steeling".

Pennsylvania is rapidly losing it's draw...

Thank all of you for giving me ever new stuff to enjoy and attempt to follow on the fretboard. Smile

I don't try to play what Dicky plays. I am convinced that he has a special fretboard that has a whole different set of notes than mine. Mad Oh Well
