I've had the good fortune of playing some fun gigs with Paul Anasatsio lately. Last Saturday we played a Sprit Of The West Cowboy Gathering in Ellensburg WA with Lance Romance, a band I played with 1978-1980. Two original members left. J.C. Rieck on piano and Keith Parmenter on drums. Bobby Englebert current guitarist and Dave Ellis now playing bass.
Should be some more clips coming. Pardon my clams.

Gary, I've been playing a Saturday morning coffee shop gig with Paul and I'll pass the word on. I've known Roger Ferguson since he was about 17 or 18 and playing with Rural Delivery Bluegrass Band. Roger is one super guitarist and burns it up on mandloin and fiddle as well. They both play in a western swing band The Jangles and in a Django band Fred Faast and Swing 48, Occaisional The Jangles have a big enough gig and add me on steel. Great fun. Here's a clip of each band. The Jangles have a clip at the bottom of their website home page.
Gary do you remember sitting in with Lance Romance at a wedding gig on Mercer Island about '79? I was on guitar and the whole band was on whisky.

Dave,
If the Mercer Island gig sported whiskey for the band, there is a good chance my memory ain't gonna recall much.
I use to spend weekends over at Roger's home picken none stop, 2 days seemed liked 2 minutes, way too much musical fun. And wow, I checked out Jangles web site and noticed Roger needs to lose 30 pounds and a shape up from Mr Ray's Hair weave is in order, post haste! Please advise him of my suggestions

David, One in the same. He played with Haggard in the late 70's, Asleep at the Wheel after that, then Loretta, and later with the Gatlin Brothers.
He's got some good road stories for sure.
I'll let him know you want to get in touch.
Here's another clip from the same show where he smokes me again.

I have known Paul since Fairhaven College in Bellingham WA, 71, 72. Just last night at my gig at The Blazin M Ranch in Cottonwood AZ, I met a couple from North Dakota who knew Paul from a fiddle camp they put on up there. A great player for certain.
