How much difference does a center rail make on the underside of a D10. Since I am building a new body for my D10, which has no center rail, is it worth the effort to install one?

Bill I think centre rails are designed to stop cross rods from flexing .. which would be the case if the rods were too light -- sturdy crossrods would not require a centre rail !

I believe you're right Paddy. I've had the guitar since '77 and never had the center brace.
