Bret you need a picture of Johnny Cox new Jackson. I made one in Montgomery, it looks like my new Professional, I will post it soon as I find it on the PC, On his the lower is on the Keyhead, and the changer moves back and forth, David told me they did that for some of the great players in the past, the purpose was to get perfect chimes.
Sorry I do not have a picture of the front, Nan wanted me to buy one like it. dream on, Nan.

New to PSG after 30 years on Sax of all things. I waited 6 months mostly for the inlay work. I think it was worth it though. The fretboard is ebony and mother of pearl. Somehow, I didn't feel a metal plate would suffice. Hats off To David Jackson and his daughter Dawn. Absolutely wonderful people who agreed that if your going to do something, do it well. In my opinion, the folk at Jackson Steel surpassed all my hopes. Thanks also to TC Furlong who visited my home and gave me my first lesson. To hear him play on my instrument was inspiring. Knowing how beautiful it sounds, he set a high mark for me to strive for. Hope you enjoy the pictures and that you see first hand the wonderful craftsmanship of the Jackson Family.

Mr. J. Greenberg's Jackson Madison '63 is a stunning work of art. And it sounds like a million bucks and plays like a dream. It's hard to see the front inlay in the above posted photos. I took the liberty of posting this close up of the front apron inlay. The only problem is that the gorgeous ebony and mother of pearl inlaid fretboard kind of hypnotizes you with it's beauty while playing I've never experienced anything like it. Nothing like starting out on the right foot!

Bob, your guitar is awesome, but I can't help noticing that since you changed the fretboards, the fret markers are in different places.
Compare where the first fret is on the neck...match it up to one of the diamonds on the inlay and you'll see what I mean.
The black fretboard has a smaller first fret due to the nut assembly, and the white board has a full size first fret.
It appears like you might have to put the bar between frets to be in tune with everybody else..
Inquiring minds want to know... |

Good eye skip, you are correct. In the photo that I posted the white fret board was laying on top the black one.I have now removed the black one and moved the white board forward to the correct position. It does bring up a question about the fret boards though. The white boards that I got from "BOBBIE"
do not seem to be marked quite the same as the others that I have?? |

Well I couldn't resist. Here's my trusty Jackson SJC...Dawn and David thought the figure in the maple front was tooo beautiful to make red, so they asked if I minded keeping it natural...A good call and a great two-tone result.
Had to do the photos by the pool...such a lovely day today! _________________ Jackson SJC S10, GFI Ultra, Fender 2000, Fender Steel King,Fender Twin, blackface head, '27 Weissenborn style 1, Yanuziello Dobro, Asher Electro-Hawaiian, Sarno Revelation pre, TC M2000, Justin Sain Black Lap, Tony Francis Style 4 solid neck Weissenborn, National Dynamic |
