Just wondering if this would be possible. Not necessarily just dropping the new changer in but maybe with some minor mods? I have no knowledge of Zum cabinet depth etc. I suppose if this were possible it would have been done quite a bit though. |

Ok, I found in a search that it might not be possible as the cutout for the hybrid changer is smaller. I'm partial to laquer guitars though and I understand Bruce is not building them anymore. |

Scott,
You may want to talk with the builder about doing a retrofit if you haven't already. As far as getting a new laquer Zum hybrid made it might be possible. I wanted a laquer steel made from a couple of builders that don't normally make them and it was easily done by having the cabinet built by somebody else to the steel builders specs. I had one made that came out beautiful. Even had an inlaid fretboard. Those Zum hybrids are special guitars and well worth the wait. Quite a few of the builders out there are friends and able to work with each other if you want something special. _________________ Bob |

Scott,
Mark Giles looks like he could satisfy four needs for a cabinet...look here.

Thanks a lot. I never considered going that route. I'll look into someone doing a cab to Zum specs. |
