Well, I must be getting tone deaf in my older age, because, I couldn't hear where she was out of tune or off key. She sounded darn good to me. Not necessarily my preference on song choice though. _________________ Larry Hutchison, Marlen D-10 8 x 7, Peavey Sessions 500(2) and Peavey Nashville 400 |

She just has an awkward way of getting from one note to the next in places...and maybe it's supposed to sound like that. She's no Connie Smith. At least she does wear nice clothes. |

Me too Larry. You'd think by now she'd be making enough money to buy a pair of shoes though
Cool National? she's playing too. Maybe dobro is next, then pedal steel lessons from Robert Randolph |

I don't "dislike" her or her music, I just have no interest in it. It is not entertaining to me. _________________ Lawyers are done: Emmons SD-10, 3 Dekleys including a D10, NV400, and lots of effects units to cover my clams... |

Well, I said it before and I still feel the same way. She's quite a sensation in the young world particularly with young girls and has done quite well for herself, but I can see why she is not very popular with many here in this group.
The songwriting can be sophomoric and the message is usually typical of what flippy teenagers are feeling.
The delivery on these events seems rough sometimes, however this spot seemed much improved over the last live thing I saw her do and I found it enjoyable. I will watch it again.
Not my cup of tea either, but how can you fault her for following her heart and aspirations....I hope she milks it for all it's worth.
I wish I had a dime for every time I blew a note or missed a change. No stones cast from this glass house. |

It's called "Progression"...It just keeps gettin' better all the time...These young-uns are proving that we don't really need a melody or well thought out lyrics...just talk about your lady lovin' yer tractor....or a "Honkytonkbadonk"!(Whatever that is?)
I'm just glad that I'm old and won't have to see music continue to progress for many more years.

No disrepect meant to anybody, just my feeling that her music, (at least in this song, I don't know anymore) has an eighties influence. Female singers like Suzanne Vega or Aimee Mann, the instrumentation sounds similar. |

Two words:
autotune
The new generation of singers and Disney kids does not have to learn how to sing on pitch. I think Taylor Swift and Mylie Cyrus have pretty good voices, but I have noticed that their intonation is not so good live. My 7 year old granddaughter loves 'em anyway. |
