Can anyone tell me pros/cons to a D10 MSA aluminum necked axe?? In theory, what were the aluminum necks suppose to do better that maple? Did they accomplish what they set out to do? I'm assuming that only the necks and not the entire top of the guitar was aluminum, right? |

As far as I know, (and I could be mistaken) MSA did not make aluminum necks. But Barry Thomas did. When I visited his shop in Modesto, he was making an aluminum replacement neck for an MSA.
I don't know if he made more than the one I saw, or if anybody else did the same thing. If you saw an MSA with such a neck, it might have been the one he made, or one of several if he made more, or one made by somebody else. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.
