PRICE LOWERED TO $150 SHIPPED (lower 4Cool with some extra information. This is an original Chicago-made Regal squareneck Hawaiian guitar, with a fake Koa grain painted on (original factory finish). I've seen plenty of fake maple, fake rosewood, etc but never this. They even faked a "bookmatched" back where it is actually one piece. Looks like birch underneath the paint, which is typical of their student model guitars. Probably 1930s or early 1940s at the latest. Unfortunately the top has sunk down some above and below the soundhole (not in the bridge and neck areas, but in the "waist" area on top if that makes sense) likely due to the fact that when I got it, it was tuned up but a brace was loose. That brace is back on now, but they didn't brace the top very well anyway so it's as described now (you could go in and rebrace to probably improve this, or just leave it as it hasn't shifted in years). Frets are numbered on the fingerboard along with painted on frets and "inlays" so this was a real cheapie. Has a tall nut which looks like bone. Replacement Kluson tuners have the same footprint as what was originally on it although those were open geared. I paid around $30 for the tuners. Original soft case is somewhat tattered but functional. Assorted scratches. The neck joint is still solid, amazingly. No cracks, and bridge is in place due to the two screws holding it down and that also looks like factory work. Anyway, it's been sitting around here for years and now it needs to find a new home. Offered at $225 SHIPPED in the lower 48 states originally but now $195 shipped in the lower 48, and I'll take something off the price of shipping internationally if that's where it winds up going.. I'll take offers but first person to come up with the full amount gets it. Paypal or money order, no problem. Thanks for looking. My email, jkally3@cox.net

Bump. Price is OBO, I'll just leave this up a little longer. I can understand the lack of interest, it's kind of an oddball. Thanks.
