I've heard Margie play "Echoes Of The South Pacific".

Can anyone post this tune by another steel player?

Hal Aloma wrote this tune, but I've never heard him play it.

Saved to my favorites, that is a wonderful song and fantastic playing by one great Wahine steel player.

I had a chance to listen and watch Margie play live at the PSGA show in Norwalk, CT, last November. Her playing leaves me floating Cool

Thanks for the link.

Josh

I like Margies playing of the tune, and in one part she jazzes it up to create some variety.

I like the tune by Aloma, Echoes of the South Pacific, and play it fairly regularly at Hawaiian Steel Guitar conventions in B11th.
I like the dreamy South Pacific effect of the song.

Because Echoes is in the title I use a lot of harmonics to create the echo effect. For me, this creates a little variety in the song that otherwise gets quite repetitious.

Aloha, Smile
