Hal Aloma wrote this tune, but I've never heard him play it.

Saved to my favorites, that is a wonderful song and fantastic playing by one great Wahine steel player.
I had a chance to listen and watch Margie play live at the PSGA show in Norwalk, CT, last November. Her playing leaves me floating
Thanks for the link.

I like Margies playing of the tune, and in one part she jazzes it up to create some variety.
I like the tune by Aloma, Echoes of the South Pacific, and play it fairly regularly at Hawaiian Steel Guitar conventions in B11th.
I like the dreamy South Pacific effect of the song.
Because Echoes is in the title I use a lot of harmonics to create the echo effect. For me, this creates a little variety in the song that otherwise gets quite repetitious.
Aloha,
