Yes that's right! You heard it! David is coming to Maine and performing at my club "The SILVER SPUR" on July 16th with our band The Record Family. He and Uncle Merle are going to jam it up all night. If any of you are in the near vacinity, please come on by. If you have campers, there's pleanty of room to camp too, so come on up! You can read more about it on The SILVER SPUR website at www.thesilverspurclub.com. A BIG thanks goes out to David for coming up and agreeing to play with us. You're the best! Even though you ARE a city boy! I'll TRY not to hold it against you! Seriously, any of you that can make it up you WON'T be disappointed. I'm sure all of you that have had the great pleasure of jamming with David or listening to him play at the various shows will know that the people here in Maine are in for a real treat!

DeeDee Anna and I will be making the trip to Mechanic Falls to see this Show.

David Wright
I think some one gave you the wrong opinion on the State of Maine. It is a Beautiful State and I hated moving out of it.You just be careful that Merle record does not steel your Licks. I will be sitting right in front of both of you and I will Steal all the licks I can from the two of you.I will be driving 224 miles to see this Show and I do not want to miss it.The Silver Spur is a beautiful hall and it will be packed.

Thanks Randy..I'll definately keep BOTH eyes on David. I wish I had more, it's a lot of work keeping up with him. I'll have to get Uncle Merle to help too. One person is not enough with that guy!

Glad you're coming up Sam, it'll be a great night!

Attention, anyone who attends the show....Since I'm not going to be there to control David with my "choke chain", he may get a little out of hand, so I'll depend on one of you to get me on the phone and I'll handle it.

Those of you who can make the show, are in for a lot of fun and a musical treat......

All of you do me a favor....give David a hard time and tell him I asked you to do it, just for me.........

Hey Reece, you may need to mail that choke chain up here to Maine EXPRESS MAIL! We'll probably need it! Sure wish you and Teresa could be here. But I'll keep your phone number handy JUST INCASE I need the reinforcement troops to help out!! Oh yeah and if you have an instruction manual handy that has directions on how to control this guy that would be helpful too! I have YET to come across one of those laying around and I think I NEED one! Ha! Ha! Seriously, wish you could be here! What a time we would all have!! We'll miss you lots, but we're definately looking forward to St. Louis!

This discussion is getting way too funny.

Now, we Mainers are tickled just about to death that that David Wright fella is coming up to see us, but I don't think any misbehavior from him will be a problem because I intend to keep him very busy. You see, I've heard that David is learning to play the steel guitar and of course I want to help the boy along all I can, so my goal is to teach him how to play "The Way To Survive" and "Sleepwalk" and I only have just one week to accomplish all of this in. I can only hope that he will be an attentive student. Now David, if you want to practice these ahead of time so as to impress me, they will both be in the key of C.

I'm just a little concerned on how he's going to do on some of our more complicated numbers, you know like those old Hank Williams songs, the ones with an extra chord and stuff. How on earth will he know what to play? I'll have to think about that.

Actually, I'm aware that I'm in for the whooping of my life, playing along side David. You know it and I know it, but ain't it going to be fun!!!!

Hey Chris we're looking forward to having your band up to The Silver Spur! It's too bad you can't come up this weekend. It's going to be a great show!

Sam tell your wife you're just going for a little joy ride. She won't know where you're going until you hit the Maine border!

Uncle Merle I think David is going to NEED those self defense lessons...what do you think? From what he's told everyone about us and the "Compound", I'd say we're a pretty rough bunch! We never knew did we?

Hey Sam, I hope your wife is feeling better real soon! We'll have David up again soon and you can come up for that one. That is ..... IF the place is still in one piece after he gets done on stage Saturday night.

Hey Reece....you still got that choke chain? I have your number on speed dial just incase! I've also called in extra security guards for the event. Not to protect David though. It's to protect the public from David! hehe!

DeeDee has gone to get David at the airport right now. Should be back around midnight and we're going to meet up at the Silver Spur.

Hey, I've figured out what we'll do on those four chord songs. I have given the lead singer, who also plays guitar, specific instructions. After introducing the song he is to turn to David and say "now the OFF chord is ....." and then while taking a slight step towards him, strum the chord slowly on his guitar so he can hear what it sounds like. yuh, that should really help him out and I'm sure he'll really appreciate it hehe

I've given David such a hard time that he sent word for me to bring all the amps I had for him because he's going to kick my A.....!!!!

Wish me luck tommorrow night because I think I'm going to get burried alive !!

Nervous Merle
