I did a search and read that a Beard factory setup Gold Tone reso will have a label under the left screen hole. Is there a label under the right screen hole if it was NOT set up by Beard? In other words, are there labels under both screens if it's had a Beard setup and only one label under the right screen if not setup by Beard? What do the respective labels look like and say? Does the setup label actually say "setup by Beard" in some fashion? Thanks for any help.

Guitars set up by us should have a 1 1/2" label under the bass side screen. It has a Beard logo and says "Genuine Beard Setup" (or words to that effect) and a date. We do not serialize Gold Tones set up by us. A s/n label would indicate a Gold Tone setup. Not sure where that label would be.

The vast majority of Gold Tone resonator guitars are sold by Gold Tone and their dealer network and do not come through our shop. This includes all of the "big box" retailers and internet (only) retailers.

Beard set up guitars are available directly from us and our specialty dealers which are listed on our website.

Hope this helps.

BTW..The Beard "factory" is only Paul and a couple of guys building, Paul's wife Bobbi and...me.

Drop me a line if you have any questions or you want to come by and camp out for a while.
