Jody,
Jon's statment below, fit's my sentiments completly and wholly. If need be, please use it as my official position.
As others have stated, I cannot imagine anything I have written either here or in email correspondence that will have any interest or importance but I most certainly grant full and total permission to you Jody, to use my name and my words as you see fit.
I couldn't have said it better. Is Jon a Copywrite Lawyer?

Thanks to all of you, however, the co writers are being bogged down with e mail and callers
We only have my daugters doing all the work and what seemed to be an easy task has turned into a load of work.
This is a momentous job and they cant do all this by themselves. I would have to have 2 extra people helping to get all the information necessary. There is no need to get too excited as Fender asked me for a book
to reveiw the contents before they issue me a release.
This book will weigh 150 lbs with all the e mail and posts Im.composing
I had one man come to my home and knocked on the door and asked "is this the place where we drop off the clothing?? I said what clothing,he said is this the house of "Tweed in Need?? I said WHAT.Are you kidding? he left 4 pair of old crummy looking tweed pants. anyone need tweed pants? Seriously we are doing all we can under the circumstances. I have your names on file and all of you will be acknowledged. We are short on help "NO DONATIONS PLEASE" I would have to employ two more people to get the job done. And we cant afford to do that. Give us some time.
This book at the rate its going will be soooo heavy that the buyer will have to have a dolly to wheel it away.
I have all the info I need. The Fender paralegals want to reveiew the book prior to its being released to be certain that all trade marks and patents are acknowledged with the expressed interest of Fender Musical
Instruments, so this will take a bit of time
so please understand we are doing all we can to make this happen as soon as possible.
Thanks to all of you.

Hey Jody, if one of those pairs of tweed pants is 34/32 you could send it to me.
It would match my guitar case . .

Ha.....
Well, at least we Steel Players don't need to run out and buy a DOLLY.
We ALL have at least 1, 2, 3....??? of them per household. That takes care of "Packin" Da Pages in "Tweed."
"Godspeed, Sir Tweed."

500 LBS????
The Dolly I have that I use to "pack" my WIFE around to my Gigs has a "Load Limit" of 475 LBS. And Latly, She's been PUSHING IT!!! NO...NOT the DOLLY, Fellas. I guess I will have to go back and "Re evaluate" and take my "CDL" test for Loads OVER 500.
Lord Forbid if Cathy SEES THIS post. If she DOES, That Dolly will be used to "Pack" my LITTLE BUTT in MY OWN COFFIN. Whisper a PRAYER Folks....Hee,Hee

Jody's book is a tribute to his former company,I trust that Fender appreciates Jodys
effort and time he spent doing his project.
Someone mentioned to Jody that Fender does so much business that a book such as Jody wrote means little to Fender.
I hope they realize that Jody was not only a
salesman who was there when Fender was an unknown, will co-operate and not put Jody through the corporate hurdle's. All the people at Fender these days are of a third generation and lttle do they know or care of those early pioneers that made Fender what is is today.
The steel forum has been a great platform for Jody,Its too bad Fender doesnt have someone to monitor what is said about Fender on the SGF.Maybe they will open their eyes.
edited. No company is that big to ignore someone like Jody. Peavey has made many in roads bcause of a good product at a reasonable cost to the customer in addition to the excellent service they offer.Mr Brown is that example.
If I had my say I would ask Fender to consider Jody Carver as a liason man for Fender to relate to Forum members as to what
is going on with Steel guitars. Only my opinion. Like others I too have wrote Fender a few times and the person I spoke to didnt know a steel guitar from a uke. I received the stock letter and no satisfaction.I had to ask Jody what was wrong and said.I dont know I dont have any contact with them, they dont even know I exist..what a joke. Its like baseball is today, everyone is out for themselves Loyalty? whats that?

What Greg posted is not the case. Fender is very much behind this story and offered me any help I would need to get the job done.
The legal team is very coperative and all they want is that the book contains no slanderous comments or putting anyone down.
No pot shots at the former owners. They are fully behind this project.
Thanks have patience there is much to be done,It is I who has been dragging my feet
Thanks
Jody
