1946 Rickenbacher D-16 ( double 8 ) lap steel guitar. This thing sounds really, really good. Aluminum body, bakelite necks and bridges. 1-1/4 horseshoe pickups. The pots, knobs, switch, and tuners have been changed. 4 small holes in the headstocks where someone mounted the tuners, and they're Klusons. Switch is a 2 way, one neck or the other, but is easy to switch. The body has been refinished white, and looks alright. This was all done before I got it. This steel sounds very much like an all bakelite Ric, and it's fat and LOUD. Both necks same volume and tone!! If you want the real sound, this is the real deal. Original beat up tweed case comes with it. Donation to the forum of course following sale. I will deliver up to 75 miles outside of Long Beach CA or ship priority for $650. Paypal preferred. Pick it up for $600
