That is sad news.
I'll remember Jacob for his ukelele playing and his singing of "I Kona" with his Hawaiian falsetto at our HSGA conventions in Hawaii.
You could always count on him attending the HSGA conventions and spreading the aloha spirit.
He will be missed.

Sorry to hear of your, and our, loss, George.
He was a community minded man with great regard for all, giving his later years to help keep his generation fit thru Hawaiian music and dance at the Moilili Com. Center and elsewhere once his heydays were pau.
With him goes one of the last real connections to the wonderful years of old Hawaii and it's music. |

Yes Ron, Uncle Jacob had many 'talk-stories' of an absolutely fascinating life having been born in 1916. Uncle Jacob was "Waikiki", as they both grew together. |
