Hello,

I'll be checking out Nashville next Monday & Tuesday (12/20 & 21) on my drive to MO. Can anyone recommend some good music next week?

Thank you,

Steve,

I highly recomend the station inn on monday night. the time jumpers play for about 2 hours some of the finest honest texas western swing you will ever listen to. 402 12th avenue south is the address. i went the 13th, and still haven't got my socks back on yet. just makes the hair on the back of your neck stand at attention

Mike

ps say high to John Hughey for me.

Thank you, Mike & Smiley. I had searched the forum for live music in Nashville, but I wanted to be sure there would still be live music on a Monday & Tuesday night the week of Christmas. Sounds like there's some good picking going on. I'm looking forward to it.

Hey Steve....like Smiley says....go to Lower Broadway....we spent almost a week in Nashville in Sept and mostly finished up there...five or six clubs next door to each other from 10 Am till about 3 or 4 Am...the bands change every four hours...just wander from one club to the next 'till you find a steel...and again as Smiley says......$20 for four hours and a tip jar on the front of the stage !!!!

Thank you for your posts, eveyone. I'm looking forward to seeing some great live music in Nash Vegas. And, yes, I'm prepared to tip the musicians

Damir, do have a gig either of those nights?

Hello Smiley,

I made it out to the Station Inn. I had my wife and daughter with me.

The Time Jumpers were fantastic! I especially liked John Hughey's solos on Faded Love and I Can't Give You Anything But Love. Wow. As a six-string jazz player, I liked listening the two guitarists, too. The Freddie Green style rhythm was great behind the western swing. And, of course the rest of the band were fantastic, too.

I was able to hit 3 bars on Broadway before heading over to the Station Inn. What a great bunch of pickers. I could've stayed in any one bar all night. I can't wait to come back to Nashville.

Thanks for the music tips, everyone & Merry Christmas
