David, try Robert's World directly across the street (Broadway) from Ernest Tubb Record Shop. Mike Sweeney will be playing there.

Don't forget to visit Steel Guitar Nashville, "The" pedal steel guitar candy store. Some of the other bars up and down Broadway may have some real country music, but I heard a lot of country rock last time I was there. The Country Music Hall of Fame is worth a visit if you haven't seen it. Have fun! |

They don't have a steel, but John A's Little Palace has one of the best trad country bands in town, IMO. It's out by Shopryland, close to the Ernest Tubb Theater. Sunday night is jam night. Bring your steel. _________________ Randal Smith alias Smitty the Kid

Dave is much too modest to toot his own horn, but he is the excellent guitar player with the excellent Nashville Rash band, keepers of the traditional honky tonk flame. Have a good trip bud, and tell me about it when you get back. _________________ LeGrande II, Nash. 112, Fender Twin Tone Master, Session 400, Harlow Dobro, R.Q.Jones Dobro |
