I have a session 400 that seems to lose its gain until you turn it up full blast and strung the strings to wake it up, which wakes up pretty much everything within a 5oo ft radius. I have a brother that has a 500 that does the same thing, and there is a key board amp at church (Peavey also) that does the same thing. Anyone ever have this issue and what can fix it.

Thanks

Most likely, it's dirty jacks or molex connectors in the amp. And usually, the proper fix is to take it apart and clean/re-tighten them. (A cold solder joint can also cause the same problem , but it's not nearly as common.)
