Microsoft Releases Advance Notification for November Security Bulletin

Microsoft has issued a Security Bulletin Advance Notification indicating that its November release cycle will contain six bulletins, three of which will have a severity rating of Critical. The notification states that these Critical bulletins are for Microsoft Windows. There will also be three important bulletins for Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. Release of these bulletins is scheduled for Tuesday, November 10.

If you have set your Windows PCs to automatically download and install all updates, they will be installed sometime on November 10. Your PC will need to be rebooted to complete the installation. If you do not respond to the reboot notice your PC will automatically restart after 15 or 20 minutes, so save any work in progress if you will be away from your PC on the 10th.

As I noted in another article on this forum, even Limited and Power User accounts are impacted by Automatic Windows Updates and the computer will be forcibly rebooted after 15 or 20 minutes from the time the notice appears in the System Tray area.
