1. Because most problems can be found in searching and
you answer the most of them.
2. Because you are nice and don't talk down to people
and you come across as really wanting to solve the problem.
3. You are one of the guys that make this forum so great and new folks on the site should know that.

See if you can get a coupon for the free upgrade DVD. If so, yes, upgrade. If not, no, unless your Vista PC is horribly slow.

I consider Windows 7 to be like an unofficial service pack upgrade for Vista, fixing numerous issues and incompatibilities that aggravate Vista users, without introducing a brand new kernel.
