Comedian Soup Sales passed away yesterday after a long illness. I believe he was 83. He had a zany show on TV for years, and you never knew what to expect. He was the classic "pie in the face" man. An old schtick, but still it got laughs. Especially when Old Blue Eyes was a guest and got a pie in the face. RIP Soupy. You gave us many hours of laughs.

I'll never forget Soupy Sales. I've tried; it doesn't work. RIP.

Sorry to see Soupy go. It took real cajones to give Frank Sinatra a pie in the face.
Adios, Soupy.

I loved watching Soupy Sales when I was a kid. I remember hearing that just before he was taken off the air he did a sketch with a large package wrapped as a gift. He counted off the people he was going to give one to on his fingers and when he got to his middle finger he said some thing like "and I'm giving one of THESE to the producer....". This may or may not have had something to do with his being taken off the air come to think of it. He was a rare talent indeed.

I know Soupy Sales was no Michael Jackson, but to keep controversy at a minimum we must enforce the rules equally.
