I've noticed that both the double neck steels and the single neck with a wrist/arm support in front of the player seem to help with pick blocking. Is this my imagination or is it in fact true?
If I cut a wrist support for typing keypads and put it between me and the strings will it get me into bad habits?
Sure feels comfortable.

Here is a similar thread.

I am currently using a right hand only pad on my D-10 for arm support when playing C6, I will try to post a picture.

For me it is easier to pick and pick block with arm support, but that is going to vary person to person I am sure.

Good Evening Robin.

Saw you question while checking the subjects of the night her on the Forum. Good question, I had the same question about two year ago, thou I did not post it. So I decided to make one. I made a tag bord ppatern where I wanted to locate the rest, coppied it onto a nice piece of oak, put a down stop on it to secure it to the side of the instement {no holes in insterment] located two nice clamps and had me an arm rest. it is 7 inched long and 3 1/4 to 3 1/2 inches wide depending on the conture of the fret board. Will try to get you a picture. Cost, my time.
