Somebody in Sacramento has just listed a Lil Buddy pedal Steel for $150. The picture shows a case behind the steel. Could be a great deal for someone. I know nothing beyond what's in the listing. All the usual disclaimers apply.

I tried to. I got a rather rude response from the guy and lost interest. I know a young guy who wants a steel and this would have been something he could afford.

Too Bad,
I have a friend who is a "little person" (dwarf, midget) who is looking to get into pedal steel. He currently is using a lap steel.
He is putting together a band of "little people" doing straight up honky tonk and classic country.
Should be interesting.

I saw one of those steels in a pawn shop in Austin many years ago. It has a 4th pedal on the right side of the guitar. It's spring-loaded and hooked up to a volume control under the guitar. No volume pedal needed.

Any update on this? The posting has expired, but I'm heading through the area this week. $150 is cheap...would it be worth it for a beater steel?

If you can pick up an Emmons push-pull for $150, I would grab it.

looks like the offer has disappeared. i thought 'emmons' at first also, but i think it was the emmons student model that had the push pull changer. the lil buddy was not quite so desirable...made by the cougar guitar guy (?)..cheaper but definitely worth $150.
