Larry, two piece cases: One case for the guitar only, the second case is smaller and holds the four legs, pedal rack and pedal rods. It substantially reduces the overall weight of a single case that is designed to carry the guitar, pedals legs and all.

Hey Paddy, hope you've had a good weekend. I do not know the weight of the guitar in the case. The larger case goes about 10 or 11 lbs empty. The guitar by itself in this case would have to be 15 to 20 lbs lighter. The smaller case for the legs, rods and pedal bar goes about 5 lbs (empty).
I have had the Legrande III since early this year. Its hard to break old habits, I still like the Emmons growl Smile

Hi Paddy, as Hook mentioned the empty body case weights 11 lbs. take what ever brand of guitar your using and weigh it just by itself with out the legs, rods and pedal bar, combine the two and you'll have the total weight, they also come with optional wheels & spring handle.
Hope this helps.

P.S. thanks Hook for the help.

Thanks Hook -- nice looking Emmons mate, and the cases certainly look like they might be workable for me.

Thanks Fred -- I will check them out if I make it to Dallas next year, or maybe I might call you earlier.
