I know this was discussed before but, I can't find it. Who has and is using this unit and what's your thoughts?

Tony

I bought one about a year ago. I found it ok for practice, but never took it to a job. I never really gave it much of a chance. I found it a little hard to use. I would like to hear what others have to say about it.

I've had one for a little over a year. Have used a Pod XTLive for about 2 1/2 years. The sound quality is great at lower levels. The user interface is terrible but you just can't get many knobs on such a small foot print so each knob has to do multiple settings.

If you get one, download the PC software and you will find it much easier to set the program parameters. There are a few settings that can ONLY be changed with the software.

This is a VERY FRAGILE UNIT - every time I plug my input chord into it I chringe at what may happen.

It is so lite that a small movement will turn it around (or worse!) Not a unit to use on stage unless it is attached to something much bigger/heavyer and I would suggest a short input chord to an auxilary input plug.

For a quick sit down/woodshead or trip to the beach it's fine. Too bad they made it so light and fragile as the processor is quite nice.

Not a toy - but not a stage ready piece of gear.

Good luck and blessings, Bo

I've had a Pocket Pod for about three months and I love it. I'm only using it for practice, but for $129.00 it has made my life much simpler.

I can practice at headphone levels, so I'm not disturbing the family, plus I don't have to haul my amp in and out of the garage (after gigs) just to practice. Also, when we go to our vacation home or whatever, it's easy to pack.

The sound with both my Pro II and Zum is KILLER and very studio-like in quality. The reverb and delay are excellent.

The metal "belt clip" on the back of the unit clips right onto my music stand, so it's stable yet accessible. It seems somewhat fairly durable (I dropped it twice before using the clip and it still works).

My only beef, is the lack of a power switch, but I have it running through a power strip which has an on-off switch, so no biggie.

I picked one up on ebay in mint condition with the power supply for $90. This was over a year ago
and I've been using it on every gig since then. I also have an XT, but it's alot easier to stick the pocket pod in my pak-a-seat.
I haven't had any "issues" with it at all. I plug in into a powered speaker cabinet.
