Jonathan Paycheck, Johnny Paycheck's son, sent me an online petition to sign, regarding Paycheck for Country Music Hall of Fame consideration. He's trying to get as many signatures as possible, so he asked me to spread the word. Johnny Paycheck was a great singer and had numerous hits, including Old Violin & Take This Job and Shove It, which ended up becoming every workers' national anthem. As most of you know, John loved and used to play "steel guitar".
Jonathan is a fine young man, well mannered and very respectful. He would travel on the road with his dad, during the summer months, while school was out. Right now, he's serving our country, in the U.S. Army, flying Blackhawk helicopters. Any support would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks...

Congratulations. You have successfully signed the petition:
Place Johnny PayCheck in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

You are signer #175

Johnny Paycheck is the reason I listened to country music in the first place; and the reason I took up the steel guitar, as I fell in love with the sound of Lloyd Green.
Paycheck is more country than just about any of them...and many many of them tried to immulate his vocal style.
He should be moved to the front of the line.
Ricky

I just signed, am #182. Johnny is long overdue for this honor, and I hope that he makes it in this year. It is a well deserved honor. Like Ricky said, the sound of Johnny and Lloyd Green together is a true standard of country music. Let's keep this going.

I do hope that signatures from "Down Under" count in this very deserving of petitions!!

I am among the longer term Johnny Paycheck Fans and I continue to love the Man's Music.

He'll now be raising hell up above and playing and singing for the Lord just as he always did!!

God rest his soul.
