The monthly meeting of the KSGA was held Sunday and officers were elected. The members elected to keep the same officers as last year. Douglas Hudson(Vice-President), Lee Ogle(Treasurer) and Ray Qualls(President). I know that we will do our best to further the club into the future as we have lots of things coming up this year. We elected to have our yearly dues to be $12.00 a year. The members who have paid this year are:
Roger Osbourn(NEOSGA President)
Ray Qualls(KSGA President)
Elizabeth Qualls
Douglas Hudson(Vice-President)
Betty Hudson
Lee Ogle(Treasurer)
Kyle Ogle
David Cobb
D.C. Smith(New Member)
Bob Taylor
Paul Troop
Dennis Turner
John Thomas(New Member)
Ruth Thomas(New Member)
We welcome these new members and any other who wish to join as supporters or players. Donations or membership can be mailed to the following address:
Qualls Music Store
1040 Military Ave.
Baxter Springs, Ks. 66713
Ph. 620-856-3304(work)
Ph. 620-856-3314(home)
Other issues discussed were our convention coming up the first week-end in October. This year it will be held Friday nite(6:00-10:00), Saturday(10:00-10:00), Sunday(10:00-6:00). Looks like it will be a good one. Also, the club gets to perform at Cowtown Days in August on Friday night again. We also talked about having a picnic sometime this summer. So, we're going to have a busy year and we welcome any new members from anywhere here in the U.S.A. or from anywhere in the world. Our aim is to promote the beauty and the sounds of the steel guitar. Thanks,
Ray Qualls(President-KSGA) |

Just think how much more planning we can do this year with several more months in which to plan. I'm excited already. Looking forward to seeing a bunch of our friends at Tulsa. |

Just received dues from two more prominent steel players for membership in the KSGA. Curt Shoemaker from Ionia, Ks. and Austin Stewart from Mulberry, Ks. We welcome them to our club and are looking forward to hearing them play at Tulsa. Thanks guys for supporting the KSGA!
