With all of the steel guitar happening in Brooklyn, I may never have to go to Manhattan again! Wait a minute...heck. I never liked going there much anyway.

Ah, a truly glorious spot. More chanting. Less steel.

Bob:

Heck, I thought you were talkin' about Red Hook, upstate in the Hudson Valley. I used to live there but there's no live music going on there anymore. Folks from 'the City' used to get confused when i told them I lived in Red Hook, but not in Brooklyn.

Have a blast man.

Hey Tiny--Smiley R. brought up the same thing recently. I used to work in Rhinecliff and live across the river so I know your Red Hook too. A bit--just a little bit--different.

Hey guys--how'd your night go?

Jon,

Thanks for asking. It went great except for a couple details. Lillie couldn't open her doors till after 11:00 because some inspector is on her case. The Electricity has been turned off so we ran the gear from a gas generator out back. We took breaks when they needed to plug in the ice machine. Durring those breaks the trumpet player got too hammered to find the stage much less make any sort of musical decision about what notes to play. At the end of the night there was no money and nobody in charge left in the bar to pay the guarantee so I had to find an atm and pay the guys out of my pocket.

Other than that the show went well and everybody had a real good time.

Bob

Bob,

Is Lillie's going to stay open, though? It would really suck if she went under... I saw and heard the gas generator out back, couldn't figure out what the story was. Anything serious with the electrical situtation and so on???

It looks like Lillie's is going to be fine.

Crowbear,
Have you read "Candide" by Voltaire lately ?

I personally have learned to accept that some things just really suck and there is nothing you can do about it.

Think of it this way Bob...

You have great tone. That's one of the good things that nobody can take away from you.

Unless they run you over with a bus or some other equivalent.
