I don't know if anybody else caught the NPR interview with Andy Babiuk, author of "The Story of Paul A. Bigsby: Father of the Modern Electric Solidbody Guitar." Anyway, interesting stuff with sound clips of Murph, Speedy and others.

Ambrose, thanks for the post. I missed the broadcast. I had just been posting a bit in a Non pedal, Magnatone thread about Ethel Starr of Starr Studios Fresno California back in the 1950s who owned a Bigsby. I need to get that book, so thanks.

Little known fact about Paul Bigsby, he was an avid motorcyclist like so many other steelers.
He designed the "Big Tank" Crocker during his stint with the Crocker Company.
